Weather: St Lucia enjoys a year round sub-tropical climate kept mild by cooling trade winds. Dry season runs from December to June and from June to November be prepared for sporadic tropical showers. Hurricane season is from June to October.
Currency: The East Caribbean dollar which is fixed to the US dollar.
Language: English and Creole
Visa requirements: UK and passport holders of other European Union countries nationals require a valid passport.
Health: No specific vaccinations needed.
Driving: Visitors to St Lucia who wish to drive on the island are required to obtain a local driving license. Licenses are available at the airport, most major car rental agencies and the local police station. To obtain a license, visitors will need to provide a valid license from their home country and pay a fee of $20(USD). Permits are valid for use on the island for up to three months.
