Why go to Switzerland?
Switzerland is Europe in miniature. Only 220 km from north to south and 348km east to west, it has nearly 100 spectacular mountains, many huge glaciers, lakes and rivers, rolling meadows, forests, beautiful fertile valleys, ancient cities, towns and villages all lovingly preserved, possibly the best integrated transport system in the world, and a climate that ranges from alpine to Mediterranean.
Those who love snow will certainly enjoy Swiss winters. Many kilometres of ski-runs are available for skiing and snowboarding. Of course there are also many sports that can be practiced during the summer. Mountain climbing, ice climbing, glacier tours, abseiling, canyoning, paragliding or mountain biking. Do you like sailing or windsurfing? Then you should visit one of the many lakes in this country.
Switzerland is also a perfect place for those who seek peace and quiet. There are lots of trails and restful places to recover one's breath and enjoy the scenery. Indulge yourself and enjoy the good things in life in one of the spa baths or beauty centres.
